Lady Macbeth Lady Macbeth of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth‚ is a familiar character even to those that have never read the play. Her name can be heard being referenced or used as an insult to a woman‚ to compare a shady or manipulative personality trait. Although she does not actually commit any murders‚ she is notably one of the most famous villains in literature.
