Systems are the most complex of the component units of the human body. A system is an organization of varying numbers and kinds of organs arranged so that together they can perform complex functions for the body.
There are 10 systems in the body, but the 3 main are:
• The nervous system
• The respiratory system
• The circulatory system
The nervous system.
The nervous system has two main parts:
• The central nervous system – CNS;
This is composed of the brain and the spinal cord and is the centre of control for the whole of the body.
• The peripheral nervous system – PNS;
This is composed of nerves and connects the CNS to the rest of the body. There are also cranial nerves which transport impulses to and from the brain …show more content…
This is because as you walk, your blood circulation is increased and more glucose and oxygen reach your brain. As walking is not a very strenuous activity, your leg muscles do not use extra oxygen and glucose as in other forms of more strenuous exercise. Also, as more blood flows to the brain it helps remove toxins and to improve concentration, learning ability and memory.
The respiratory system.
Our bodies need oxygen to survive. Our lungs are designed to absorb the oxygen that we breathe and transfer it to the blood stream, the blood then takes the oxygen and transfers it around the body to the areas that need it.
The lungs are in the chest and are protected by the rib cage. In between the ribs are the intercostal muscles which are essential for breathing but the most important muscle for breathing is the diaphragm. The diaphragm is beneath the lungs and separates the lungs from the abdomen.
The inside of our lungs are filled with masses of fine tubes and even smaller tubes which end in tiny air sacks called the alveoli. The air sacks have very thin walls which are criss-crossed with hundreds of blood vessels called …show more content…
If a person knows what triggers their asthma they can try to avoid it and there may be no further problems. Most asthma sufferers have an inhaler; this is a pump which contains medicine which is sprayed directly into the airways to prevent inflammation in the airways. If asthma is well controlled then it should not be affected by exercise.
When dancing it is important to ensure you are breathing regularly as this allows the maximum amount of oxygen to reach the parts of the body which require it and consequently reduces the build-up of lactic acid when dancing.
The circulatory system works well with the respiratory system to make sure that oxygen-rich blood can flow through your body. That is, your respiratory system supports your circulatory system with air or more specially oxygen which is sent to relative organs via arteries. Then the veins carry the deoxygenated blood to the heart, so it can be replenished.
The circulatory and respiratory systems work together to circulate blood and oxygen throughout the body. Air moves in and out of the lungs through the trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles. Blood moves in and out of the lungs through the pulmonary arteries and veins that connect to the heart. The circulatory
