I’ve been trying to exit the city for three days with no luck, people have crowded the streets to say goodbye which has made it nearly impossible to move. There have been many wonderful celebrations and festivities that have made me proud to be a good and supportive emperor to my people. It is clear that my people love me as much as I love them and as much as it saddens me to leave I must for myself and my people. I understand my peoples celebration and surprise as I am the first Mali ruler to embark to Mecca.
