Reason one, Nancy died by choice, and right. Nancy wanted to die by having the tube removed rather than to starve and emaciate herself with the tube in. December 18, a group of of about 19 doctors tried to insert the tube on their own, they were all arrested and Nancy died several days later. Shorty after the case was closed it occurred that 19 doctors tried reinserting the tube with no professionals. They deliberately looked past what the Supreme Court decided on and tried taking it into their own hands. For that, as consequence they were all arrested. Nancy died in peace about eight days after the incident.
Finally reason 3, Nancy had the right of life, liberty, and happiness, although by being kept alive she was in misery. In the declaration every citizen has the right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Nancy’s right of happiness was taken away in cause of all the pain she was in during the 8 years of being in persistent vegetative state. The right to death is a choice.
