Nixon was a very peculiar President; he was paranoid of most things, but Nixon was not that bad. He ended a long time of non-relations with China and ended the trifling war in Vietnam (Edelstein and McDonough 74-75). The war in Vietnam (including black power) were the cause for many protest songs (Edelstein and McDonough 65). Degrees in Healthcare and Nursing were number eight in the top career choice, but now Healthcare is in the top three (Most Popular Career Paths). Number 3 in 1970's most popular careers was Business, about 115,386 degrees were given out just within that decade (Most Popular Career Paths).
