This is even happening today, look at the people of Mauritania. The rich people of Mauritania are allowed to hire poor people as slaves. Most of the people in Mauritania are poor which makes them automatically slaves. The slaves hate this and will sometimes stand up to their owners, which will result with a consequence, but that doesn't stop anyone else from standing up for what they believe is
