5 Men Monologue
You’ve probably heard me tell the story about the guy who died and went to stand before the Lord. So, the Lord says, “Look, man, we’re going to give you a choice today. Either you can stay here in Heaven or you can go to Hell.” The man replies, “Well, I’ve never been to Hell. Maybe I could go take a look at it and see what’s going on.” So, he gets on the elevator and descends into Hell. When he gets down there and steps off, he sees a beautiful country club! There’s a beautiful green golf course. He sees some of his old friends out there playing a round of golf together. They’re drinking mint juleps. And he said, “Man, this is everything awesome down here! Wow! Maybe I think I want to come back to Hell!” So, he gets back on the elevator and goes back up to …show more content…
A group, which calls themselves E5 men, or Ephesians 5 men, which has formed and spread to 83 different countries. On the first Wednesday of every month, they fast and pray for their wives. Is that good stuff? The single men fast for their mothers, sisters, or aunts. If they’re engaged, they pray for their fiancées. I thought that was an absolutely excellent idea, and so I’m bringing it to us, men. So, by the grace of God, beginning on the first Wednesday in December, we’ll fast and pray. That’s a 24-hour fast. This happens the first Wednesday of the month in 83 different countries. We absolutely want to join forces with that and I guarantee you, men, that whatever your thoughts have been about your wife, it shall change if you’re fasting and praying for her. Because you cannot think hard of somebody you are praying for. If you’re constantly on your face for someone, there is no way you can have some sort of ill-will toward them. And, of course, this changes you internally as

Don’t you people see what’s going on in our country? Do any of you even have the mood to just smile for one second? Eight years ago, November 18, 1968, in Turkey, Richard Moses, the leader of the Turkish people in a town, brought out a revolution! It was a total success! You stupid people didn’t know about it, did you? Every single person in Turkey cheered for the dramatic change! They received good food, decent wages, ethical living conditions, and millions more! Don’t you want any of those fantastic conditions? Take some time to think about your stupid actions stopping us! Think precisely! This is actually not only for our advantages, but also for the good of everyone single person here in this town! I command all of you to listen to me and support me! You will be living in broken houses, wearing torn clothes and barely having any food supplies! So, stop complaining about foolish people. Now, do not waste my precious time! Let’s get out of here! CRASH. SCREEECH-BANG! Many protesting and angry yells went up into the pale NYC morning sky, caused by what looked like a small, red, and motorized wagon. It looked like this because that was exactly what it was. This “Motor-wagon” was piloted by a young-ish, tall-ish, and mostly bald man named Evan Victor Ite-Laught.…

My father trotted up to the dart game, like he was a big shot. I requested if I could play at least once. He said “sure thing.” As I walked up to the stand with the dart already on the table, I thought I was ready to throw it at the rubbery balloon. I closed my dark brown eyes and squinted very tight at the only balloon I wanted.…

Hello, I wanted to send you an email about something that was concerning to me after the game today. Kate came off the field very upset and unfortunately I had two other players with me that I was transporting home so I didn’t get much of a chance to discuss this with her until tonight. She wouldn’t tell me what was wrong right away, but one of the other players told me she was upset because her coach said there were three players that didn’t hustle and just stood there during the game today. Now I have taught for many years and also coached and take everything an 8 year old tells me with a grain of salt.…
