The first step you must do if you are in a car crash is stop right away. If you keep driving you can have your license taken away, have a jail sentence or a fine. You try to find someone who knows first aid until an ambulance or something arrives. You have to make sure that the other person is okay and check to make sure they don’t need to go to the hospital. If you don’t a phone try to get another car to stop and see if they can help you contact someone. If you can’t find a car to flag down then you need to drive to the nearest location to get help.
The third step you need to take is clear the wrecked cars off the road. You have to move your car off the road so that other cars don’t hit your car again by accident. If you are okay and your car is able to move than you need to move it to the side of the road. If you cannot move it then you need to contact people to come clear the road. Another thing is if you can’t move your car you should probably put your hazard lights on to warn people that you can’t move.
The fourth step you need to do is contact the police. If someone is injured, killed, or the damage is going to cost a lot of money, you need to call the police and notify them. Even if another driver was not involved you still need to call the police as soon as possible.
