The political power struggle for higher education is ongoing and state funding for universities are decreasing. Something I heard from the movie was that the government had designed the system to fail. Instead of being held responsible for students’ education they are shifting the responsibility onto the students. Honestly, I have no interest in whatever that was happening before until right now. It is telling me that these laws or policies are affecting me and that I do need to start getting involved. A man from the documentary stated that public education was for people who were not able to afford to get private education. If the government knows (I think they do) that public education are for people who are not financially well off, why are they decreasing state funding and increasing public education tuition and placing students into accumulating more debt. If public higher education are funded by taxpayers dollars, why is the government cutting down the funding. I am pretty sure about half of the student who attend college work and as taxpayer I think students have the right to see where their money are going and it should
