A Comparison Of The Attack In Beirut And Baghdad

Last week, the world was saddened by terrorist attacks that happened in several countries across the globe, most notably, Paris. Many Americans gathered in support of the Paris victims this past weekend; however, many have neglected to remember the attacks that also happened in Beirut and Baghdad. Both of these countries were attacked by suicide bombers only a few hours before the attacks on Paris happened. Although the magnitude of the attacks was very similar, the bombings in Beirut and Baghdad received little media coverage.

The attack in Beirut happened after a market was invaded by two bombers. The bombs injured at least 239 people, and they killed 43. But among the scared shoppers was a man whose heroic actions surely lessened the death
