In the excerpt one of the lines says, “I am too bold, 'tis not to me she speaks:” (Line 13). Romeo states that it is not him that Juliet is speaking to because he feels that he is not good enough for Juliet’s love. Romeo makes it clear in this except that not only does he not feel good enough for Juliet’s love but also that he feels as is Juliet does not want to be with him at all. The only way that one would understand what Romeo is experiencing is to back up and put themselves in Romeo’s shoes. There is no other way that one will be able to feel what he is feeling. William Shakespeare is experiencing a love for someone who does not feel the same way for him.
