The opportunity was an open door to human trafficking and a closed one to any reality she had before entering this world. Angela’s story may be as tragic as it gets, but it’s more than that. Her constitutional right was ripped away from her hands when she was forced to work for a family that neglected her basic needs for living. Many people couldn’t imagine a world that does not implement any constitutional rights. That’s why as a nation, efforts need to be made to combat human trafficking. With that in mind, this nation needs to realize that human trafficking in the United States is a growing industry and it’s destroying communities and expanding gang activity, but society can drastically reduced the amount of human trafficking through public awareness and government intervention. As one continues to enlighten their mind with the facts about human trafficking, they will also understand the many problems, cause, and solutions that human trafficking embodies in this
nation.
