When preparing presentation aids for a speech, speakers need to make sure that the audience can understand them. Some ways that speakers can best prepare their presentation aids include, making the font large enough to read, not having paragraphs of text, and making the presentation aids look appealing. When using presentation aids, speakers need to keep their focus on the audience and not on their visual aids. This is because presentation aids are meant for the audience to better understand the speaker. Finally, the speaker needs to be prepared in the event of something going wrong with one of their presentation aids. According to Murphy’s law, if something can go wrong, it will go wrong eventually. In my past speeches, I have tried to read and use my notes during a speech rather than relying from my presentation aids. I did this because I felt that it would be distracting and made me look like I didn’t know anything about what I was speaking
