Music is displayed greatly throughout the film. In my humble opinion, Richard
Lester did an impressive job incorapting some of the Beatles greatest hits at the perfect moments. The four are constantly on the run from crazed fans and there constant musical occasions. Inbetween all the laughter, it was exciting to anticpate the next time there would be a random burst of Rock n’ Roll. I later discovered that A Hard Day’s Night is actually the band’s third selling album. Some examples of musical outbreaks were: while imprisioned on the train, Paul emphasizes for his grandfather and the band break out their vocal chords and instruments to perform “I Should’ve Known Better”. Another example was during the rehearsel for the televised gig the group performed “If I Fell”.
Rebellious of youth was continuously displayed throughout the film. The band becomes trapped inside a hotel and they begin to crave freedom. As a popular band the guys are required to make an appearance at a press conference and rehearse for an upcoming televised gig. In between, there are several distractions that come into play. The Beatles seek innocent mischief and cannot escape all the adoring fanatics that find their every location. One member in particular, Gringo Starr, seems to find himself in particular trouble. While taking advantage of little freedom available, Gringo finds himself in jail for loitering.
