I choose the Boyd piece for this discussion board because I felt it was easily relatable to our society today. It focused on one-problem students have in our classrooms today, that is they easily believe fake news in the media and online. This is an issue many students today face. Students us online resources in the classroom to complete assignments. Students need to have the skills to recognize what is real and what is not real in order to make wise decisions when trusting a source. I found this to be most relevant in our educational world today.
B. The problem being address by a certain curriculum decision was that students rely heavily on media to find their answers to questions. This then shows us that they are unsure of what is real information and what is not. This lead to the teachings of researching what makes information true or not true.
