Rhetorical Analysis of a Near Death Experience
NDE (Near Death Experience) can be described as a person experiencing distinct consciousness that transpires right before imminent death. The unique story of near death experiencer, Anita Moorjani, is one that is truly fascinating and is at the forefront of one of the most informative and legendary cases to date. Anita was diagnosed with stage IVB Hodgkin’s lymphoma and was on death’s new arrival list. Her organs had begun to shut down, her lungs were filled with fluid, and she had tumors all over her body. After fiercely battling with cancer for a few years, she had finally relinquished her control over her life because she knew that there …show more content…
She noticed her eternal existence and describes it as a tapestry revealing a multitude of threads that illustrated other lives she has experienced and choices that she has yet to make. She says, “I could feel my attachment to the scene receding as I began to realize that everything was perfect and going according to plan in the greater tapestry” (Moorjani para. 22). She inexplicably understood that we have all had what is considered past lives; however, she realized that these lives are actually happening simultaneously. She became aware that all illnesses are first created on an energetic level; she implied that everything that happens to us only happens to us because we first bring it into our space energetically. She says, “Cancer is just a word that creates fear. Forget about that word, and let’s just focus on balancing your body. All illnesses are just symptoms of imbalance. No illness can remain when your entire system is in balance” (Moorjani quotes entry 11). For instance, things like poverty, sickness, and relational hardships are things that only manifest in our lives if we hold these images in our energy fields. Adversely, the same results apply to those who bring positive things like loving relationships, prosperity, and good health into our energy fields. Anita had experienced a plethora of miraculous and divine knowingness of pure, undiluted truth during her NDE. She suddenly became aware of her father and best friend informing her that she had gone as far as she could go in this heavenly experience and that if she continued, it would be too late for her to go back. Anita knew that it was not time for her to
