Friend: I guess that if something has been designed it has a maker, and is usually intricate, like a watch.
Me: Awe, but how do you know it was designed, couldn’t it just have formed by chance?
Friend: Well each peace works together perfectly; if one part were missing then the whole, watch would be broken.
Me: Yes! Here is another example: Imagine you are flying over the ocean in an airplane, when you suddenly think about what would happen if one part of the plane were to fail. The plane would crash. You then cheer up by a single thought; this plane over the course of many years was tested and designed. You trust in the builders, because your airplane could not made by chance,
it did not over thousands of years evolve into a flying piece of metal. For nothing, so intricate could be made by chance.
Friend: What are you getting at?
Me: If an airplane is designed, and so is a watch; is it not only logical that humans and the earth we live on were designed by a God who is an incredible designer?
Friend: Maybe, but I still think it is possible such a God could use evolution. If he is a God could he have used that method?
Me: He could have, but the Psalmist says, “For we are fearfully and wonderfully made,” (Ps. 139:14). If that is the case then how can we not say God designed us?
