"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character” (King). One of the many quotes said by the famous Martin Luther King Junior. Mr. King was born on January 29 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia did not believe he would become so great. His speech changed the world bring peace and somewhat harmony. The true reason behind this speech and why it was so great lays in what he did.

He talked about how the blacks should be free to do whatever. There should be no segregation. He talked about civil rights. At the time blacks and whites were not very even and the whites had power over the colored folks. So they started to rebel. They started to chant and sing. They marched around the United States. So after the freedom riders were going to Mississippi they were bombed. Most people quit but not Dr. King. He wrote this speech and knew that it was gonna be good. He marched down Washington street and talked about their rights. He told they that we should be equal and not apart. The purpose of his speech was already known but helped get the cause up. What I mean is awareness. Another part of why purpose helped is because it helped them get free. This speech was most likely the main cause the freedom for the blacks. I know others may have done more but Dr. King’s was enormous figure during this time.
To sum it all up, the speech brought our world peace. The speech had a great effect on everyone, especially in the United States. Although being assassinated in 1968 a few years after the speech his soul lives on. The things that helped him most his voice, in our hearts.
