Forty-nine years ago, on 1st October 1965, there has been a historical tragedy in the life of Indonesia’s independence.
Everything started from on 1st October 1965, at 03.30 am, a rebel group which was called PKI did rebellion movement. This group was led by Letnan. Kolonel. Untung. They kidnapped Letnan. General. Ahmad Yani, General. D. I. Pandjaitan, Mayor. General. Soetoyo, Mayor. General. Soeprapto, Brigadir. General. S. Parman, and Mayor. General. M. T. Haryono. They were the leaders of the army. There was no reason to be really appropriate and valid why they were killed. Furthermore, the generals were kidnapped and killed to be called as Heroes of the Revolution.

Chambali stated it was a powerful strategy of the Armed Forces. Because, in the body of the Banser, it was not infiltrated by PKI elements. In the integrated operation codenamed ‘Trisula’ operation, many PKI leaders were overthrown. This operation involved ten thousand people of Banser and citizens who were mostly Banser members.
How many people who were slaughtered not known exactly. A conservative estimate said 500.000 people, while other estimates also mentioned two or three million people, but it was suspected at least one million people died, and hundreds of thousand were impprisoned in concentration camps without any opposition at all in the six months tragedy that followed the
