Abandoned Living In Toronto

Abandoned buildings tell a story behind the boarded up doors and windows, that are so easily forgotten in our ever-changing city. Recently, I have been working on a documentary photography series to bring these stories back to life. In Toronto, we are trapped following the same guided streets, with no way to escape our everyday routine. Urban exploration creates a new untold narrative of this city, as we venture into these man-made structures. It encourages people to create their own adventures by appreciating our cities forbidden spaces. These structures can be invisible in plain sight, in the middle of our city or in the quiet suburbs. They're isolated from the "normal" world, places that the average person would never think twice about,
the forgotten places. This is what drives us, as explorers. We step into a whole new world, only taking photographs and leaving nothing but footprints behind. By crawling under a fence, into a broken down window, or over a wall of ruins, we can discover the world of urban exploration.
