Right or Wrong?
Are you Pro-Choice or Pro-Life? My position on the subject is Pro-Life. Being able to have an abortion whenever and for whatever reason is wrong. There are many court cases on abortion taking both sides. Roe v. Wade being the biggest of them all taking the side of Pro-Choice. Being Pro-Life you have to look at more than just the one case. Some other cases are Rust v. Sullivan, Mazurek v. Armstrong, and many more go Pro-Life. Understanding that many people believe abortion is okay and anyone should be able to do it makes abortion a hard subject to talk about. Everyone like to put in the opinion on abortion, but how many people look at the facts on abortion? Looking at the facts could change your opinion. Mazurek v. Armstrong argued that not just anybody should be able to do an abortion. The court upheld that the performance of an abortion could only be done by a physician. This being that not just anyone could perform the procedure. Still on the case of being Pro-Life, physicians should not be able to do it unless to save the mother’s life or in similar cases. If abortion was not an option would women be getting themselves into the mess anyway? They would not be as careless as many people are today. Not having abortion as an option would make lower the amount of people who get pregnant. Not only that, but if they were to get pregnant there is still the option of adoption. Adoption, is giving women who are not able to conceive a chance to still have a child. There are many people out there who are willing to adopt, yet due to abortion not as many children to adopt. Another reason many people choose to have an abortion is based on genetic abnormalities. Having genetic abnormalities does not make you less human. The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 provides the civil rights protection needed for people born with disabilities to lead fulfilled lives. In this case there should be no reason to have an abortion due to genetic
