Therefore, vigorous help is necessary” (Kuyper, 77). This is saying that without everyone helping each other out that not everyone will live long enough to get out of poverty. Every little thing such as donating clothes to the needy, can goods, time, energy, and spreading the word of God would speed up the process of getting out of poverty. All of this can help a family that is in a lower class than you out a lot. A lot more churches even charities are doing food drives, clothes donations and some even donating money to help a family that is in need out so they can live long enough to get out of poverty. Basically, you never know you might have it all and one day you can lose everything. So everyone is being stingier on what they own. Another reason besides the economy that ruined the chances of getting out of poverty would be the era of the 70s and the 1980s. What I mean by this everything was fine until the hardcore drugs such as cocaine, LSD, and heroine became very popular and people started to get addicted to them. The poor now a days ruined their reputation on people giving them money because they will most likely go spend that money on drugs or alcohol. Also people are not donating their time because it could affair with their responsibilities such as work, children, and their errands for themselves. People go around asking for money for food but when you offer to get the food for them they deny it same goes for clothes. Which makes is obvious they are not using the money for what they are asking to use it for. This is making it 10 times harder for us to get out of
