Abraham Lincoln's Loss Of Freedom
“Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves” President Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln has a good point in his quote. His quote means that freedom is for everyone and that no one can decide if this person get it and this one doesn’t. Freedom is important for everyone. Some people don't have freedom. Us Americans take our freedom for granted. Most people in the world don’t get freedom. The reason why we have freedom is because these veterans fought for our freedom. Veterans are very amazing and courageous they fought in wars.

There are 5 branches in the military . They are Navy, Marines, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard. These 5 branches are very important. I’m very thankful to all the people fighting in the wars.

The passage given, was a hard one to read, not because of the length or the style of which it was set up, but because reading that everything I was ever taught about President Lincoln was a lie, or almost one. The big story about Honest Abe, was that he freed the slaves, because he preached to the people, the Union won the war because they allowed blacks to be with them in battle, making a stronger ‘Union’. That seemed good enough for me, but the thought that he didn’t actually care if they were freed or not, was scandalous to me. He treated them like equals, yet he didn’t…

Lincoln was the first President not conceived in one of the thirteen unique provinces. Likewise, he was the first President from the Republican Party. Preceding his race as President, seven Southern states had withdrawn from the Union. In his inaugural location on Walk 4, 1861, Lincoln contacted the South by letting them know he had no aim of changing bondage as it existed; yet he held firm to the perfect that the Union be always safeguarded and insoluble. Not long after this, the Southern states united together in their own Confederate Union. They requested that the North forsake its armies in Southern domains, particularly naming Post Sumter in Charleston, South Carolina, since it held key significance at the harbor to the city. As a historian, I have done a lot of research on Abraham Lincoln the president of America, and there is an age-old question that does he deserve the accolade "the Great Emancipator"? Because some think he does deserve the accolade and others do not agree with that. There is much evidence to show that Lincoln deserve with that accolade. He has many speeches, letters and actions to try to build the Union stronger and not let it separate, and he also does many things such as help in the Civil War, but the most important thing that makes people remember his name as a Great Emancipator is the president who freed the slaves…

In John Sidney McCain’s “Veterans Day: Never Forget Their Duty” he talks about how far one of the prisoners of war that was with him went to show his pride for their country, “Sitting there, with his eyes almost shut from his beating, making another American flag. He was not making the flag because it made Mike Christian feel better. He was making that flag because he knew how important it was for us to be able to pledge our allegiance to our flag and country” (McCain 7). McCain’s quote explains that an American would do anything to protect freedom even if it means the ultimate sacrifice. In Franklin D. Roosevelt’s, “The Four Freedom” it shows how much Americans have faith in freedom and how far they go to protect it, “This nation has placed its destiny in the hands and heads and hearts of its millions of free men and women, and its faith in freedom under the guidance of God. Freedom means the supremacy of human rights everywhere. Our support goes to those who struggle to gain those rights and keep them. Our strength is our unity of purpose” (FDR 45). In other words, the idea that keeps all the diverse groups together is the freedom, to protect their freedom because they don’t want to lose freedom that they…
