He lived for 47 years from 1755 or 1757 to 1804. He is best known for co-writing the “Federalist Papers” with John Jay and James Madison. He was also the Secretary of Treasury. Hamilton had a very interesting background along with a great record of accomplishments, he is just like a modern day Donald J. Trump.
Hamilton’s mother was Rachel Fawcett Lavien who was married to John Lavien. Hamilton’s biological father was a Scottish trader named James Hamilton. John Lavien was a very abusive husband towards Rachel. He was so abusive that he threw her in jail for having an …show more content…
When she was released instead of going back to her horrific marriage she went to St. Kitts where she settled down to live with James Hamilton. Not long after his father left, Hamilton got a job at 11 years old to help support his family. After his mother had been working tirelessly to support her family, she died at the age of 38 in 1768.
