Course Description
Introduction to the tax system faced by individuals and sole proprietors in the United States with a focus on personal business and property transactions. Topics include the tax environment, tax provisions relevant to employees, business owners, and shareholders, and taxation of gains and losses.

South-Western Federal Taxation: Comprehensive Volume 2015 Edition by Hoffman, Maloney, Raabe, and Young with CengageNow (online). While previous editions are available, you will be responsible for material in the 2015 edition. Tax laws change and you need the most current information.
