I have failed many, many times, and I see absolutely no shame in saying that, because why should we feel any embarrassment in admitting that we attempted to achieve success? At the very least we tried, for the worst failure of all is the failure to try.
That is the first rule towards achieving your ambitions.
Moving past the ‘no, I just can’t.’ attitude and realizing that you can. That the possibility is there, and no matter how minute that chance is, the fact that it is present is all you really need.
In the words of Beth Hamilton, ‘You don’t need easy, you just need possible’.
You need to commit yourself to achieving it, realize that your fate is in your hands, and that the choices you made yesterday and what brought you where you are today. Despite the fact you cannot erase yesterdays mistakes, you have full power over your future. You have to work- you cannot let laziness handicap your ambition. Rather, prioritize it, devote time and energy towards it and spill your heart out.
As long as you are willing to work for it, the light of possibility will never be extinguished. It is essential to keep faith. In possibility, in justice, and most importantly in yourself. That you can do it, if you work hard enough.
The journey towards achieving your ambitions will be painful. The truth is, you are going to fall many, many times. You will get your heart battered and crushed, you will hurt and cry and complain loudly about how life is hard. It is completely normal to feel that way, it is okay to fall and want to stay on the ground for a little while gather your breath before you tackle life once more. To have drive and determination to succeed does not mean not to be hurt by failure…it means to hurt, to be upset, but inevitably keep faith.
Realize that the possibility of success has not been crushed by a simple setback on the way. Channel this disappointment into your determination to succeed,
