I would like to begin by saying I really enjoyed doing this assignment because it is something I feel a lot of people, even myself, receive and it doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Often times, people experience random acts of kindness on an everyday bases without even realizing it happened. Such acts that happen that may not cross our mind vary from general manners such as saying please and thank you, letting someone walk through a door first, or simply swiping for someone at a local restaurant her on campus. It seems like it’s almost natural for us to be nurturing or lookout for people who can be the closest person to us or even a complete stranger. The fact that these small acts happen regardless of an exchange for something, says so much about your character and overall how selfless you can be. Most of the time, the only reward I hope to gain is that another act of kindness is appreciated and passed on to someone else. I will elaborate on my acts of kindness and how each one had a quite different experience. At first, I wasn’t sure of what I wanted my act of kindness to be, but I wanted the actual execution to be meaningful and memorable. Since I really enjoy when someone takes the time out to notice something I like without me knowing, then gives me that item (little or small) , I decided to purchase something that they two participants really enjoy. Without them knowing, I decided to go ahead and buy them their favorite thing and presenting it randomly. Although my male participant is someone I’ve known for a while and my female participant was someone fairly new to my life, the act of kindness had two different experiences.
