Introduction:
Attention getter: When was the last time somebody did something nice for you?
Thesis: Random acts of kindness are very powerful, and can change somebody's day within seconds by doing just a small thing for another person.
Preview: During my time at Ohio University, so far I have helped pick up some girls books, paid for somebody's Starbucks drink, and helped my roommate with her math homework.
Transition: With this in mind, I'm going to go into more detail about my acts of kindness.
Main Point 1-
A.) As a girl was trying to get into her dorm room, she dropped all the books that were in her arms so I helped her pick them up.
B.) I helped her because I know i would want help if I was in that situation and I could tell she was flustered because she couldn't open her door. …show more content…
Transition: In hope that I could make other peoples days better, I continued my acts of kindness.
Main Point 2 -
A.) I paid for the girls Starbucks drink in front of me, because her card got declined.
B.) The girl looked really flustered, because she was holding up the line and I know that if I was in that position I would hope that somebody would help me.
C.) The girl was really appreciative for helping her and getting her out of that awkward situation.
Transition: Given that, I had made peoples day so much better by simple acts I felt that I should do one more act of kindness.
Main Point 3-
A.) I helped my roommate with her math homework, because she had to leave class early and didn't know how to do a couple problems.
B.) She was confused and wouldn't have gotten the points if I didn't help her, and were in the same math class so I knew how to do them.
C.) She was very grateful and got a good grade on her homework and promised to return the favor if I needed
