Most people agrees that adolesece may be the hardest time in most people's life . Just like every period of life, being adolescent can be a pretty rough time. Some people says it is the unhappiestime, while other says it is the most happiest time in our life. but not everyone agrees that is the unhappiest time. So is the adolecense the unhappiest time in most people's lives?, I'm going to talk about the arguments for and against this statement and give my own opinion.
It is true that adolesence is a very hard age, may be the hardest. Firstly because, is the time in wich the person is growing up, and has to get used to have more responsabilities. Also, there are some people that think this is because the adolecent are more sensitive than older or younger people and this is a reazon why to get upset for very silly razons. And, finally, some people thinks this is because, the adolecents aren't as free as they wished to be, and this make them want to pass this part of their lives quicker.
However, there are some people that desagree with this statement, and one of the mainly arguments is that is a very happy time for people because they don't have to worry about the resoult of their actions because they don't have as many responsabilities as they will have later when they get older. Another argument against this is that they, normaly, have more free time, and less stress. a time when they begin to discover who they are, they are becoming more independent, they are establishing friendships, and their bodies start developing. For many, entering into puberty can be a very emotional, stressful, confusing, and frightening time. Some make the change from childhood into adolescence with only a few minor problems, others however, may have a more difficult time handling the pressures and some may develop eating disorders as a way to cope. Some may enter into puberty early and be subjected to teasing by their peers. Many fear the weight that is gained during this time is permanent, will panic, and desperately try to take the weight off. They are not aware that once the physical changes during this time cease, their weight will usually stable off and go to their bodies natural set point, without the need for dieting.

Puberty is the time between the first onrush of hormones and full adult physical development. Puberty usually lasts three to give years. Many more years are required to achieve psychosocial maturity. The forces of puberty are unleashed by a cascade of hormones that produce external growth and internal changes, including heightened emotions and sexual desires. For girls, the observable changes of puberty usually begin with nipple growth. Soon a few pubic hairs are visible, then peak growth spurt, widening of the hips, the first menstrual period, and breast maturation. For boys, the usual sequence is growth of the testes, initial pubic hair growth, growth of the penis, first ejaculation of seminal fluid, appearance of facial hair, peak growth spurt, deepening of the voice, and final pubic hair growth.…

When you are in the childhood age group, things that seem big to you actually are not all that big. For example, when Dennis' mom tells him he has to go to Margaret's house while she goes to work all summer, he acts like it is the end of the world. In the adolescent age group things get a little more stressful. Some things that are stressful for the adolescents are keeping up their grades because school has gotten harder, getting a job, making the team, and things like that. With the adulthood and older adulthood age group comes the realization of necessities needed to just get by because it is the first time you are supporting yourself. As time goes on you get more and more worries like; house payments, car payments, life insurance, taxes, bills, etc. Also, if you decide to have kids then you have to think about the costs of diapers, clothes, bottles, milk, baby food, and other baby necessities. Puberty is a major transition that all children at some point, will have to go through. It can be a difficult time for both sexes emotionally, socially and physically. Behaviour will change and so will their physical appearance, which may cause them to feel insecure, especially if they are female. Peer approval will become increasingly important and may be related to physical development. Males may show more aggressive behaviour as their hormone levels increase and females may become insecure about late development or embarrassed about early development. Both sexes will be very aware of their changes and will compare their own rate of development with that of their friends. Most, reach puberty around the same time, some develop earlier and some later. Boys who develop more quickly are often found to be more popular and independent. Girls, however, if developing earlier than their friends tend to get teased and have a more negative experience. The development of breasts can be very embarrassing for a girl, as it may bring a lot of unwanted comments and attention, not only from boys, but also from other girls who may be jealous of the attention the girl is getting, or may be teasing and gossiping. This can lower a person’s confidence and make them feel very uncomfortable. Changing for sports in a communal area could become an issue, with other girls staring, and may make the young person stay away from sports, preferring to go sick, rather than endure the unwanted attention. Starting periods can also be embarrassing.…

I think the statement does apply to a small variety of young people, but not all of them. I think the hardest challenge a young person a young person under 18 must face, is school and college. I will admit that primary school is no problem, but high school is a whole different matter. Speaking from personal experience, young people face the stress of homework, sitting through lessons that they hate, and spending time with people who they can’t stand. Class work and school work is a challenge in itself, as some people find it much more difficult to grasp the concept of how things work, and understanding work they have been given. They have to fight to get things right, and impress the teacher, and the more they fight to understand things, the easier it tends to be. However other young people find class work easy and the real challenge for them is making friends. Young people find it very difficult…
