Did Adolphe history impact the Saxophone or was it just by chance? The biggest and far most important influence in Adolphe’s passion and expertise his dad. Adolphe’s dad was the chief instrument maker who guided and trained Adolphe how to repair and make instruments at a very young age. Adolphe was born in November 6th, 1814 and by the time he was six, he started helping his dad made instruments. Soon, Adolphe surpassed his dad’s skill in instrument making and accomplished many outstanding results. He also made the once so awkward Clarinet to the delicate instrument today. One of the most outstanding achievements was making both a Clarinet and a Flute out of ivory, which was viewed as an impossible task, at the age of fifteen. That makes Adolphe not only an outstanding instrument marker but definitely impacted the invention of Sax. One of the unique skill Adolphe had was that he could play every wind instrument which made him a professor at the Paris Conservatory in 1858. Adolphe first made the contrabass, the second to biggest of all Saxophone and over time there are ten kinds of Saxophones today. In 1846, Adolphe achieved the patents of all the 10 types of saxophones, all transposed in different pitches. However, the four main types of Saxophone is the Soprano , Alto, Tenor, and Baritone Sax. These four types of Saxophones started to become famous throughout bands. Adolphe originally invented these Saxophones to be in orchestra and military bands but it influenced a new era of music, Jazz. Jazz brings out the emotion in people whether happy or sad. As it was to Shakespeare and Beethoven, Jazz can express so much to people that could never be experienced in other ways.
Above all, Adolphe had not just invented the Saxophone, he has also opened up opportunities in the future of many different musics. Eventually it had impacted the entire formation of bands. Therefore, Adolphe has not only impacted the history of Saxophone, contributed to the many types of Saxophones, but also achieved one of the greatest invention by making the Saxophones.
