There are lots of kids in America that needs to be adopted but people don't like to adopt them. The reason people don't like to adopt American kids is because they are too old or they have special needs. Another reason people like to adopt internationally is because the process to get the infants/kids internationally is a lot easier. Lots of the kids in other countries are orphaned due to something that happened in there country. Americans would rather adopt a kid/infant internationally because it is easier. Other countries around the world like to adopt kids in other countries too.
There are not enough infants in America to adopt. In every state however, there are children who are legally free to adopt but are desperately waiting for a family. The children in this group are usually older and often have special needs. In America there is almost no infants that American families want to adopt. that is why Americans like to adopt internationally because there is a lot more kids to pick from and in America there are not a lot of kid to pick from. There are only 4 steps to adopt a kid from another country the 1st step is to obtain from the birth parents the legal consent or relinquishment, according to to the laws of the state where such consent or relinquishment is being given. Because there are only 4 steps it makes it easier to adopt internationally. Because most Americans don't want to wait for there kids. Step 2 is the preparation and assessment of adoptive parents. Step 3 is the transfer of background information from birth parents to the adoptive parents. In America people do not have 4 steps people have more and if there is more than 4 steps it would take longer and no one would want to wait. Kids in America need a lot more preparation to adopt them so people like to adopt international.
