Do you value your life? Or do you take it for granted? Babies who are aborted don’t have a choice to live or not. Why must selfish people decide for the ones who are innocent and valuable? Abortion must be stopped before we kill the lives that matter the most. God gave everyone the gift of life. How can someone have the audacity to take it away from a baby? For the better or the worse, the mother should be considerate and do the right thing. There are so many solutions that take place in this decision. Why not keep the baby? Is it too much work and time? Why not put the baby up for adoption? Is the pain at giving birth not worth saving a human beings life? Why do mothers make the

There are a mass amount of controversies when the word “abortion” is brought into awareness. This dispute has brought about both positive and negative affects on society. Abortion plays a major role in the everyday life of a human. People base their political parties, and even the jobs they choose to work at, all depending whether the host is pro-life or pro-choice. I personally am pro-life. I have made the decision of being pro-life based on multiple observations. Some of these observations include you are murdering your own child, you need to face the consequences of your actions, and to give people who are not able to have their own offspring a chance to be a mother/parent.…

Imagine a young child at the playground, slipping down a slide, swinging on the monkey bars, and laughing with glee. When a mother decides to get an abortion, that entire image goes away with a blink of an eye. What that mother might not know is her child might be the next person to cure cancer or be the greatest movie star of all time. The public is divided on this issue and they do not know if one should be pro-life or pro-choice. People that believe in pro-choice think the decision should be up to the mother. It is the mother’s body and she should have the right to decide what happens to it. However, every life matters and the child should not be in the cross fire of the mother’s decision. Abortion violates the child’s right to live and…

In 2011, Deamonte Driver, a 12 year old from Missouri, died after an infection from his molar spread to parts of his brain. He didn’t know that this infection existed, and his family couldn’t send their children to the hospital or the dentist to get it checked. Their Medicaid plan had lapsed, and the family had lost their home. Many children around the U.S. miss their well-child checkups each year. They may have never visited the hospital, even when they’re sick. This is why I have come to convince all of you to donate to my charitable organization, The Children’s Health Fund. Founded in 1987, the Children’s Health Fund provides affordable healthcare to underserved children living in poverty across the U.S. Children are the future of…

A couple decades ago, when abortion was illegal, thousands of women died because they did not want to bear an infant and attempted to terminate the child 's life by themselves or with an unprofessional approach. After 1973 's Supreme Court decision, which allowed women to have the choice to abortion, thousands of women were saved.Imagine you have a balance beam. On one side you have the physical life of an infant and on the other you have the mental and emotional life of a mother and her unwanted child. Which side can we, as civil humans, claim as more valuable? Up to this current day, abortion has become an exigent issue that faces everyone nationwide. As a moral and ethical issue, abortion is a dilemma for society. Abortion was illegal before the 1973 Supreme Court decision in the trial of Roe v. Wade, but now that abortion is legitimate, women have the freedom and the choice to live their life the way they want to. Albeit, abortion is criticized by religious sects in America and some of the public, the practice of abortion should remain legal in the U.S. because it allows a woman to choose her destiny and prevents unwanted children. Abortion can save thousands of lives of women and thus, should remain legal in the United States.…

According to statistics provided by Guttmacher institute, “there were approximately 1.05 million abortions in the United States in 2012 alone” (Abortion Counters 4). To many, that might be just a number and it does not necessarily mean anything, but lets just take some time to think about how tremendously that number actually is. The image of 1.05 million lifeless, innocent premature babies is horrific, and many do not realize how sick and wrong it is. That number is more than just a statistic but it is the amount of lives that were ended way to early. As someone who stands for pro-life, aborting a baby is not something that should be an option so easily for women. Women nor anybody else should have the authority to end a child’s life prematurely.…

The Devil has made abortion one of the most controversial topics of today, when it shouldn't even be up for debate in the first place. With all excuses and theories set aside, you will still be faced with the question: “Is it truly the better option to end the life of your unborn child than to give him or her up to have a chance at life?”…

Abortion is a controversy that has been argued and fought about for decades. People ask whether it’s the body of the mother or the life of the child, who is in charge? The answer to that is simple. The mother is the one in charge of her body, but while being in charge of her body she engaged in intercourse and as a result there came a baby. Now, the baby is a person too, so going forward with abortion is indeed murder. There are at least three alternatives to abortion: parenting, adoption, and interim foster care (Abortion Alternatives). Most people claim that not everyone is ready to be a parent, and they are correct. However, as was said before there are other options than just being parent. There are options that wouldn’t be murder.…

Abortion is a very touchy subject with very little middle ground. Every year around one-million developing fetuses are aborted for various reasons, usually financial problems. While technological advancements in medical science have made abortion a simple step to avoid unwanted pregnancies there are still negative repercussions. Abortion, specifically late stage abortion, should not be accepted by our society because the fetus can feel pain at 20 weeks, abortions are thinning the population of minority groups, and the child is never given a chance.…

    Abortions Law in America

The debate over the choice to have an abortion and the timeline used to say when an abortion should be allowed is one that has caused much divide in society and in the courtroom. There are varying views and opinions from the moment of conception being a soul and when a fetus is considered human. There are also those who suggest that babies are not actually human until they are completely formed. A third group and the one that I choose to side with is that a woman has the right to their body and that they should have the ability to have an abortion in cases where they see fit or when it is deemed medically necessary. I believe that abortion should be up to each individual woman to decide if it best suits their individual needs when the possibility of life and death is at stake. The problem with abortion is there are many that hold the opinion that abortion is never justified and in my opinion that is absurd. I believe that every woman should have the ability or at the least the possibility of her choice in aborting an unwanted child as long as it is justifiable; since she will be the one responsible for this creation not the law or even those in society that feel abortion is wrong. Therefore, she herself should dictate her choices and not others. This responsibility is not something that should be taken lightly as there are many needs of not only the mother but the fetus itself once it is born. The parent must be able to care nurture and provide for this individual for a very long time and the mother should be…

Every year, 1.21 million children are aborted. These kids are not given the opportunity to experience a life that they could have had. The parents who want to abort their children could have prevented having a baby if they didn’t want to have them in the first place. The child who is being aborted should not have to pay for their parents’ mistakes by not having a life. There are people in this world who would love to have a child that don’t have one. If a parent doesn't want to keep their child they could put them up for adoption. At least the child could experience life and have the chance of being loved by others by being in an adoption home. Abortion should not be allowed in the United States because it’s not fair to couples who want to have a baby but can’t, people who abort have later life regrets, and it’s like killing someone. Abortion is very wrong and should be expunged.…

    Abortion: Easy Way Out?

    • 4088 Words
    • 17 Pages

The early termination of a pregnancy has been around for the past two centuries. While many people argue that everyone is entitled to their own choice, the recognition of prevention and alternative options are ignored. Abortions can be unsafe and harmful to the mother and are taking the life of an innocent child away. Legal abortions can be performed up until the sixteenth week of a pregnancy, and after that most doctors or clinics will choose not to perform the procedure. The moral question has always been whether or not it should be a woman’s decision to get an abortion. But in reality, the after effects and outcomes are to be acknowledged before sexual intercourse occurs, and if an “accident” is to transpire, the process of abortion within itself, the harmful side effects on the mother (both on her body and mind), and alternative options should all be considered before taking a life away.…
