Students will rebel if a good chance arises and school uniforms are one of the best chances there are, especially if the colors don’t match their preferred choice. Certain accessories can make a uniform more unacceptable than everyday clothing. Uniforms can be itchy, tight or ridged which is quite uncomfortable, and the child does not feel right in “something that is forced upon them” (K12 Directory). In this case, rebels will refuse to wear the uniforms or if made, will inappropriately accessorize. Instead of wearing uniforms, some students will chose to say no and will not be “interested in learning when they are not comfortable in their own second skin” (Edwin Choi). The “second skin” should be a color would make and keep the student comfortable. Also wearing the same thing every day would be pure torture. Most would say that “an attractive uniform or dress code” (Summers) helps academic performance and school spirit. The only problem is that one thing that is pretty to one person is not as eye-catching to someone else. Even if it so happens that the uniforms are beautiful, the sizes will change throughout the year and the clothing will become more costly.
Depending on the size of the family the cost of uniforms can become overly expensive. An average cost for “school uniforms range from $110 to $140” (Summers). This cost will not be too expensive for a family with one or two children, but for a family with three and more children
