Implementing School Uniforms

Individualism is a fundamental value in the U.S.A... We as Americans, believe in the rights of having freedom of speech and to express our own opinions without having the fear of being judged or punished by other individuals. Wearing school uniforms help show what school the students belongs, helps the teachers, faculty, and employees have guard against intruders and lessen the economic differences between students. So, therefore, I am all for school uniforms.
I have three or more points on why I am for school uniforms and why others are against uniforms. When students wear school uniforms, it shows what school they belong. For instance, if there were no uniform policy, anyone could walk into the school building fitting into the crowd with everyone else and the employees of the school would not know who belongs and who doesn’t belong. There could be a stranger waiting in the boys or girls bathroom waiting to harm one of the students. If the schools go with the uniform policy, this will help stop this action from occurring. If

However, as stated previously, school is a place to learn not, not to show off your clothing line and your personal swagger. Clothes don’t pick who you are, wearing the uniforms will show that they are all equal and that no one is better than the other one. So, I believe that wearing the uniforms will beneficial to the school, students and parents. Society must decide if individual expression through clothing is more important than education performance being improved because of uniforms being implemented into the school system. Parents and students should remember that uniforms may be required during school hours. After school students can express their individuality in a way, they dress outside of the

When was the last time you saw a child in their school uniform? Probably quite recently. But have you ever thought how these children feel ? their entire school is wearing the same thing they are wearing? These children wear the same thing every single day they go to school. The only time they get to wear their own style of clothes is on the weekend. Making children wear the same thing everyday, thinking it's a good idea that helps them in school, probably only makes them hate school more. There are many reasons why school uniforms are a bad idea and should not be enforced on children. To start with, to buy them costs a lot of money. Secondly, school uniforms stop the child’s individuality from being expressed, keeping the entire school as…

Throughout the years, there has been much debate with schools across the country on whether or not students should be allowed to wear uniforms. Through past experience with this argument, it’s safe to say that wearing a uniform is not a bad thing at all. Why? For one, uniforms stop other students from being judged on how they look, two, they save families money and students will not pressure their parents into buying clothes some families can’t afford, and lastly uniforms increase safety and security. So I do strongly agree that students should be able to wear uniforms.…

"Just slapping clothes on kids won't improve a school, but uniforms accompanied by other reforms can make a difference. Uniforms send a message and remind students that they are in school. One element of the message is that when you are going to school, that is your place of work. That is the place where you are working at getting smart." ~Joe Palumbo. Uniforms cause children to be more civilized and mature in what they are doing. It could lead the kids to a greater future and teach them to be more proper. It is a great idea for schools to implement a policy on school uniforms because it provides more focus to learning, reduces peer pressure, and increases school pride.…

Students will be more comfortable with a dress code and still get to express themselves through fashion. In conclusion, school uniforms are not always beneficial. Children should have the right to appropriately dress for school. This right allows them to experiment with their creativity, imagination, and develop their personality. School should support diversity instead of equality by wearing the same outfit, because each and every student is different and unique. Diversity helps individuals to understand one another and helps spark interest. Clothing expresses a person’s rare personality and culture, it should be their right to show their peers their true…

A bulletin published by the National Association of Secondary School Principals stated that "When all students are wearing the same outfit, they are less concerned about how they look and how they fit in with their peers; thus, they can concentrate on their schoolwork." School uniforms would not work out as well as not having them, people would all look the same, and no one would be happy except for the few who enjoy not having creativity. Whereas, the people who don’t like school uniforms, which would probably be more people than those who like school uniforms, will be happier and more content without them. It is true that if you have school uniforms then no one can bully you about the articles of clothing you wear and so people will not feel devastated inside. If you are forced to wear uniforms then you will probably not have a very happy life in school, and if people aren’t happy in school then they probably will not do as well in their studies. It is easier to excel at school when you are…

I am against school uniforms because there is not reason for them but to keep us looking appropriate and not dress inappropriate for class. The benefits of not having a uniform is be yourself, be comfortable, have your own style, and stand out. Not having uniforms lets us be ourselves and not feel like we are trying to be someone that we aren't. Having to wear a uniform is uncomfortable. We want to be comfortable at school because wearing a uniform for girls we are in skirts so we have to sit all fancy and nice and we have to change our body language just for uniforms. If you went a take a student for how they dressed now and put them in a uniform you would see so much of them change just because of a uniform. Have your own style is what makes you the person you are and makes you stand out to be yourself and show people who are and what you stand for and what your into and shapes who you are and is a piece of your personality. It also helps out people to let you know if this is the kind of person you should be hanging out with. Like the Emo all black, gangster sag there pants, sweet girls all pink, and etc what we wear is what makes us who we are and tells you who we are. Our clothing makes a judgement on us and puts us as who we are. If we had uniforms it would be so different people wouldn't know who they are and we would all be the same when we were born to stand out from the rest of these people. Putting us all in one same outfit os going to cause so much and people wouldn't know who to hang with and who not to hang with. We come to school to get an education not to be told what to wear and how to look. On the other hand if we did have uniforms we would be having people showed up dressed like gangsters, inappropriate people, we would all be appropriate and teachers wouldn't have to worry about telling kids to change or to see how long there shorts or skirts are. You get to be yourself, be comfortable, have your own style, stand out, know who…
