This past year we had a major event happen that would change our country, it was election year, that means we will be getting a new president in office this upcoming January. So why would I bring this up to evaluate this topic of how interest groups and political parties are being detrimental to America? An interest group is a group of people or an organization seeking special advantages, they get people who have similar views and they seek to receive these advantages. During the beginning, when Clinton and Trump were selected as the main party candidates, and even before so, Clinton had meetings with the presidents of certain interest groups, they told her what they wanted, gave her a check for her campaigning, and if she won, she would owe them favors. So the interest groups would influence the people and trick them into voting for Clinton.
