ASCI 490 Aeronautical Science Capstone Course (Proposal)

In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements of the Degree of
Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics

Abstract
The purpose of this exam is to provide the pertinent questions and research needed to develop a small airport from a management prospective and demonstrate knowledge learned at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The flow of the questions will be in the subsequent order recommended by the research put forth. The end state will be an academically sound and as well as precise and accurate method of instruction designed to meet all program outcomes.
The areas researched are (1) obtaining a management degree, (2) becoming a licensed pilot, (3) government regulations, (4) aviation finances and (5) aircraft maintenance. The suggested type of degree would be bachelors in airport management and/or professional aerodynamics as well as participation in internships and airport executive professional organizations. A pilot’s license is not only recommended but highly suggested. The manager needs to be very knowledgeable and well versed in the area of government regulations such as the FAA and NSTB. Aviation finances are a special area of focus because of the importance of running a fiscally responsible organization. Finally, aircraft maintenance understanding is the main area that will be detrimental to the success of the aeronautical prevalence.
The research methodology will include relevant data provided by scholarly documents and databases that will provide the thorough, exhaustive and comprehensive analysis of the researched material. By using quantitative and qualitative analysis data collection tools that will recognize the time-tested procedures, an up-to-date process will be presented. Lastly, this intense
