Lifetime of Al Kindi
Abu Yusuf Yaqub ibn Isḥaq aṣ-Ṣabbaḥ al-Kindi belonged to an elite family. His father was the governor of Koofa. He was appointed by Haroon Rasheed as a head of the house of wisdom. His basic duty there was to translate the Greek philosophy.

Medicine
The ideas of Galen mostly influenced Al Kindi and he wrote more than thirty treatises in the area of medicine. His most important work in this field is probably De Gradibus, in which he determines the use of mathematics in medicine, mainly in the field of pharmacology. For example, he developed a mathematical scale to quantify the strength of drug and a system, based the phases of the moon, which would allow a doctor to conclude the most serious days of a patient's illness in advance.
Mathematics
Al-Kindi wrote on some of vast mathematical subjects, together with arithmetic, geometry, the Indian numbers, the harmony of numbers, lines and multiplication with numbers, relative quantities, measuring proportion and time, and numerical approaches and cancellation. one of the strategies in which he made use of mathematics as a truth seeker changed into the effort to project the eternity of the world by using proving that actual infinity is a mathematical and logical

His father was of Persian descent. He studied medicine and philosophy in Baghdad and did specialization in in logic.
He combined three elements in his philosophy;
1. Metaphysics of Aristotle
2. Theory of causation and,
3. Plotinus animation cosmology
First he separated philosophy from theology. Mostly muslim and christain philosophers were influenced by his views. He believed in Supreme Being who created the World through the exercise of balanced intelligence. He also gave great attention to the political theory. He stated that ruler should be inclined to rule by a good quality of a native character and exhibit the right attitude for such rule. He believed that there is the concept of happiness in his political philosophy, in which people cooperate to gain
