Alcohol In Public Case Study
INTRODUCTION:
This case involves the arrest of the suspect for drinking an alcoholic beverage in public (beer) in violation of PMC 9.24.010- Drinking in public. The suspect was cited out.

INVESTIGATION:
On 01-06-16 at 0850 hours, I was working uniformed patrol with Officer Cass #2067. We were traveling west on Orange Grove Bl. east of Los Robles Avenue. We observed two male Hispanics, later identified as Suspect Jesus Manuel Delgado-Ruiz and Salvador Padilla sitting on the front steps of Avalon Pasadena Funeral Home and Cremation located at 415 E. Orange Grove Bl. We saw Ruiz drinking from a 24-ounce Tecate beer can in violation of PMC 9.24.010-Drinking in public. Padilla was also in possession of an open container (beer) refer to X/R# 16000287

    The main issue is today’s society is underage drinking.
