As Christians, we embrace Christ as our Lord and Savior and are transformed through conversion. When we allow ourselves to be transformed we turn away from sin. This transformation is evident in the way we conduct our lives. We must discipline ourselves to keep our bodies spiritually clean. The questions at hand ask if it is a sin for a Christian to use tobacco or consume alcohol as well as is it a sin for a Christian to become drunk. There are many scriptures in the Bible where wine was given to people for consumption. One of those occasions was in John 2: 1-11(King James Version) a wedding where Jesus turned water into wine. There was no way to purify the water to rid it from bacteria so water was turned into wine. In Psalm104:15, it advises to give wine to gladden the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread to strengthen a man’s heart. In Amos 9:14, it states, they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. If it was a sin to consume alcoholic beverages I don’t think the Bible would contain so many instances where wine was offered or advised. However, the Bible does warn us against
