Alex And Jonah Character Analysis
The differences between Jonah and Alex are very extravagant and whenever they talk it is like Neil Armstrong walked on the moon for the first time. Alex is very young at age 10 compared to Jonah who is 13 years old. Alex is the younger brother of chip and together they were the king and prince of England. He is very prestigious, while Jonah only has a sister who is only age 8. They have don’t have a high status, but together they can solve many problems that involve many critical thinking skills. Alex likes to run and is decently fast, though his speed cannot be compared to Chip and Jonah’s. Jonah likes to take initiative when he feels like something needs to be done, that no one else is doing. For example, Chip was running away from his friends …show more content…
Jonah believed that Chip would make the jump. Alex shot them all disgusting looks because he thought that chip was going to fall and Jonah wanted him to die. In the end, Chip made the jump and proved that sometimes having trust is the best thing. Jonah is frustrated most of the time, when a difficult problem up rises, whereas Alex considers all aspects of the situation and usually comes out with a well thought of solution. Alex and Jonah clearly have many contrasts, but they do have a few similarities. First of all, they both have siblings and they both annoy them. How they both deal with them is they either ignore them or tell another person. They both like to play basketball and have average abilities. They are both very comforting people and like to make sure everyone is calm when there is a complication or dilemma. To illustrate this, when Jonah and his friends had a problem with their time traveling machine Jonah was the guy who calmed everyone down. He said “Don’t panic. Don’t Panic”. The persons I have mentioned in this piece have different siblings, characteristics and age, which makes it very easy to comprehend why they are so controversial together and to other

Troy Maxson is 53, the father of Cory Maxson, and he makes the house rules. Troy hates how Cory doesn’t respect him, so when this happens they both always get to an argument. For example, in the story it states when Cory is being kicked out of his house, “Go on now! You got the devil in you. Get on away from me! Get your black ass out of my yard. “I chose this example because it tells me that Cory is being kicked out from Troy being mad at him. He uses disgrace words to describe Cory. Tory and Cory are both alike because they act like one another. They both talk nicely to Rose, but when it comes to talking to one another it’s always arguing being involved. They are different because Troy likes baseball while Cory likes football. In the story it states, “Baby, it’s you and baseball all what count to me. “ I choose this example because he emphasizes about liking baseball.…

Baba stood up for a woman who was going to be sexually abused by a Russian officer. Here is another example of how Amir and Baba are different, Baba actually speaks up. I admire this about Baba because he was willing to allow himself to be shot before the indecency happened. He is similar to Mahatma Gandhi in this sense because Gandhi spoke out, and was willing to be hurt as long as his views were heard and recognised. (79 words)…

Krakauer wrote that Chris McCandless was, "green, and he overestimated his resilience, but was sufficiently skilled to last for sixteen weeks on a little more than his wits and ten pounds of rice"(Krakauer 182). In this quote it seems that Krakauer thought that McCandless was well equipped with his skills, so that made moderately prepared to survive in any situation. I feel that McCandless was rather prepared, yet again he never could have been fully prepared for the unexpected. My opinion is that McCandless was vaguely aware of the struggles that he would encounter in the Alaskan wilderness such as his epiphany that "happiness is only real when shared" was realized when his body was dying of starvation. I believed that he found what he was…
