The main character, Dr. Banks, is a single woman, which often times can be a reason for mistreatment and inequality. Adam’s role in this movie uncovers a woman’s true potential and importance in society and disrupts today’s standard impression regarding men and women together in the workplace. Without definite details concerning the location of each alien ship, the audience was left to figure out why they landed where they did. Each viewer is likely to have a different idea about the ship’s location, and it will depend on their political values. While nearing the end of the film, likelihood of a war became greater because of a global desire to restore order on Earth. However, Banks was able to cease all proposals of military action and reinforce order in the chaotic world.
