According to statistics, approximately 6.5 million car crashes occur when both of the drivers are females. Though not always are the statistics shown accurate, we still believe in them and change our thoughts accordingly. There are still many stereotypes that show the inequality between woman and men and a stereotype is a fixed thought or idea or a wrong image of a particular type of group or thing. In 1991, there was a law introduced in Saudi Arabia that banned woman from driving and just a few years ago a woman posted a video of her driving in Saudi Arabia which then became a big issue. Also in Saudi Arabia, women are not allowed to drive and do not have a driver’s license because it is against their religion so licenses are only given to men. All of these events result in discrimination since women are not allowed to drive or do certain things because of rules and regulations blocking them. Not only is it hard for female drivers but also female racers because there are so many male racers than female racers mainly because of this typical stereotype. But one racer named Danica Patrick has been racing since she was ten and that proves how dedicated and hard working she is to overcome that stereotype that was blocking her path. A woman rights campaign was made called “Women2Drive” for the right to drive motor vehicles on public roads in Saudi Arabia (the only country which does not allow women to drive). Furthermore another women rights campaign called “SheRides” is still in process to launch an app, the campaign encourages female taxi drivers and for female taxi drivers to be paid as the same amount as any male driver would receive.
