Al Marai Brief History

al Marai company was established in 1977 by prince Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer,

alamarai’s chairman, under his guidance many agriculture projects were launched and were developed

towards achieving his objective . Al Marai company is the largest diary company in Saudi Arabia it

produces food, dairy, and non-dairy products, in 1991, when al marai company achieved market

leadership , it entered a restricting and reinvestment phase. Also, it undertook a major investment

programme involving a total capital expenditure in excess of 1,100 million between 1993 and 1997.

Almarai had four huge dairy farms each with capacity for 10,000 animals. Between 2002 and 2005 al

marai company spent more than 3,000 million in expanded its farming, operations and distribution

activities. Al marai’s secret behind being successful is its ability to maintain and deliver high quality

products as well as the understanding of customer preferences. Today, all marai continues being the

leader in the GCC countries
