Minorities are subjugated daily and the government allows it to continue. Louis J. Rodriguez can attest to the persecution of immigrants in his book, “Always Running.” He claims that society treats Mexican immigrants as their “scapegoat” and condemns any and all actions they may take in order to present them as a different group entirely, the “enemy” (Rodriguez 250).
