American Dream Failure

The American Dream has been something people inside and out of the United States hopes to get out of the country. Whether it be riches, a family, a successful job, a big house, or anything, some people do live The American Dream. Sadly, though, the dream is a lot more arduous to accomplish, especially if you are middle class or lower. The American Dream is dead due to the fact that the economy is failing, almost everyone has false hopes, and rich people have a better life advantage than the poor. In America, the economy is failing and causing a tremendous struggle for many people.
First of all, Americans can no longer look forward to an early or a comfortable retirement. The government takes a portion of each paycheck to put aside for retirement, but if one’s paycheck is very small, so will the amount of money going into retirement. Americans have to work much longer to even come close to having enough money for a retirement, and even then, they still may not have enough money for it to be comfortable. After that, most Americans have a dream vacation, or even a dream of going on a vacation. But with such a low income and so many hours they have to work to pay bills, no one can really afford a vacation. For a true vacation, such as a cruise or a trip to a different country, for example, it would cost thousands of dollars for a small family, or even just one person to go. Last but not least, stay at home parents seem to be a part of the American Dream that never comes true anymore. Imagine this, there is a family of four, 2 young kids, one boy and one girl, and the two parents. The wife is in the kitchen finishing dinner, while the kids play outside, the father gets home from work to dinner being set on the table. Is this a familiar situation? Maybe one recognizes this from a story or a movie, but doesn’t that sound like part of the American Dream? Well, it’s close to impossible now because without both parents (or just the one if it is a one parent household) working, they won’t have enough money.”In the end, one detail is unarguable: There will always be those searching for treasure.
