American Horror Story Vs. The Walking Dead
The two TV Shows I will be comparing are The American Horror Story versus The Walking Dead I have decided to on these two as they are two of my favourite shows and relate around horror.

The comparisons between the two are The Walking dead is revolved more around the gory side of horror with a group of people trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. Where as The American horror story has different creatures ranging from ghosts, ghouls, “freaks” witches, vampires etc.

Here are some similarities between the two they both have murderers in them, someone always dies, there is always bound to be one love to bloom through out the show.

The American Horror story: Produced by Ryan Murphy, Brad falchuk, James Wong, Jennifer salt, Alfonso Gomez-Rejon

This show is now up to its sixth season. It basically all about a man named Rick Grimes trying to lead a group of survivors in a world of zombies. The show was first aired on Oct 31st of 2010.It amazes me how the zombies are just now falling apart and dying as soon as they hit a wall hard enough. Makes you wonder why they haven’t all died off already it’s been about 1-2 years the bodies should of decomposed. Or at least looking deader besides looking like they just turned a week or two ago. Here is an overview of season 1. In the first episode you see a man running around in a hospital trying to find an escape from what ever was making him scared and panicked, a couple seconds later you see what it was he was running away from which was about 3-4 zombies at a steady pace following him. The guy then runs into a room and you see another person on a bed looking alright he tries to get his friend up but there was no response. As he was still in a coma, he reluctantly leaves his friend behind and barricades the room up so if he did ever wake up hopefully he would be safe from the zombies lurking about. The guy on the bed wakes up very confused to where he is and what was happening he explores around even more confused now since the whole place is deserted he comes up to this door that says “don’t open, dead inside” he looks at it a bit more then walks off as soon as he walks off you are shown

A second difference of World War Z and To Kill A Mockingbird is their locations. World War Z jumps all around the world to see different views of the zombie apocalypse. They are able to show how it affected certain parts of the world more or less so the reader could have a world view.In To Kill A Mockingbird, the view is much smaller. The views of the few people in the neighborhood is the only one, so everything is more personal and everyone has a more in depth view on different characters.…

Game of Thrones is a thrilling TV series that sets in a fictional time that resembles the medieval time and unravels the journey of powerful families playing a deadly game to claim the Iron Throne. As a fantasy epic, the Game of Thrones presents audience a glimpse of a world filled with supernatural threats, witchcraft, dragons and bloodsheds. In this essay, I argue that the Game of Thrones is a present-day manifestation of a freak show due to the characters displayed in the show and explore the similarities and differences between Game of Thrones and freak shows we have studied through analyzing two characters: Tyrion Lannister, a dwarf of a noble family, and Melisandre, often referred as The Red Woman who performs magic to eradicate one of the dynasts.…

Zombies. It seems like the whole US population is absolute in love with the idea of the so called "walking dead." And why not? Nothing is more fascinating than for the dead to come back to life to eat the living. However, for some people feeling like they are already dead and rotting is already a reality and regardless of how glamour’s it seems on all the TV shows, for the person and family it is an absolute horrible mental disorder to work through.…

The Walking Dead shows all people from all different walks of life, races, and sexualities forming a bond and forgetting their former values to fight the dead and stay alive. The show is not really about the zombies or “walkers” as the show refers to them. It indirectly represents overcoming adversity. The Walking Dead shows men and women adapting to the beliefs of others and learning to coexist as a community. Every character has a different history and outlook on life, the show challenges the characters to accept new ideas and live more open mindedly.…

ZOMBIES are a value stock. They are wordless and oozing and brain dead, but they’re an ever-expanding market with no glass ceiling. Zombies are a target-rich environment, literally and figuratively. The more you fill them with bullets, the more interesting they become. Roughly 5.3 million people watched the first episode of “The Walking Dead” on AMC, a stunning 83 percent more than the 2.9 million who watched the Season 4 premiere of “Mad Men.” This means there are at least 2.4 million cable-ready Americans who might prefer watching Christina Hendricks if she were an animated corpse.…

Zombie movies are my favorite horror films. To me they show the true inner person when in the moment of a zombie apocalypse. The Walking Dead, a famous television series on AMC shows the survival of a group of strangers, that don’t even know each other, as they live day by day scavenging for supplies to keep them going. At the same time avoiding obstacles like other violent groups, or of course walkers which is the named used for the zombies.…

With a respectable rating of 85% on popular television and movie review site, Rotten Tomatoes, it is easy to see The Walking Dead has effectively made a positive impression on its large viewer base. The Walking Dead has repeatedly set and broken viewership records throughout its six seasons as the most watched non-sports program on cable television. Rotten Tomatoes has no shortage of films with perfect 100% ratings, yet somehow record-breaking powerhouse, The Walking Dead, falls short of a perfect rating. Based on actor talent, visual effects, and writing, we will evaluate the popular zombie filled horror/drama in an attempt to understand why the show loses appeal to some viewers.…

Ways that the two stories are similar is that both of the main characters in each story are either melodramatic, they freak out, or they’re overrated about something that has happened. In both stories they have a tragic “big day”. In both stories the families are poor and have shabby things. There are lots of tears in both stories. They both have to make choices about buy or selling things.…
