American and Mexican cultures are two of the fifty thousand cultures in our existence that have characteristics that are both assimilated and diverse.

II. Point 1 – Politics A. Supporting detail - Federal and state elections operate as a two-party electoral system. B. Supporting detail – The presidential elections are held once every four years, with opportunity for a president to be reelected and the president is chosen through the electoral vote. C. Supporting detail – The politics of the U.S. is dominated by two parties; the Democratic Party and the Republican Party.
III. Point 2 – Religion A. Supporting detail - The majority of American’s are Christian. B. Supporting detail - There are also many Jews, Muslims, and Buddhists. C. Supporting detail – The word of God is used very carefully so that Americans of other religion will not be offended.
