During the Vietnam War, China and the USSR were having problems. China, being a Communist country, was on N. Vietnam’s side in the war. China helped N. Vietnam by sending troops and supplies, but they didn’t want to gain the US and another enemy when they were already having problems with the Soviet Union. China didn’t play a huge part in the Vietnam war, but they did back up N. Vietnam.
China’s involvement in the Korean war was greatly responsible for the outcome. When the US and South Korea advanced through almost all of North Korea, they reached the Yalu river (“Korean War”). The Chinese had sent soldiers to North Korea to help with the situation, but it didn’t do much. The US continued to take all of North Korea. Then, the Chinese sent more soldiers to the country. The second wave of Chinese soldiers was so massive and powerful that the US had to fall back a very long distance. The Chinese surged through North Korea and regained Pyongyang, and they continued on through South Korea and captured Seoul (“Korean War”). Had the Chinese not attacked, the US and South Korea would’ve been victorious. They would’ve rid all of Korea of Communism, and the US would’ve gained another ally that could’ve helped during the Vietnam war. However, due to the Chinese soldiers, the US was only able to get Korea back to where they started (North and South split at the 38th parallel). Korea remained split up and still remain split up today. If the Chinese didn’t attack, Korea would’ve been a united country with a
