An Analysis Of Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart
“ The Tell - Tale Heart”,by Edgar Allan Poe, is a murderer story. It is a murderer story because the killer would spy on the old man, he killed the old man, and he already planned the steps out. First, every night, about midnight I turned the latch of his door and opened it gently, pg.145, paragraph 4. On pg.145 it states the killer would move slowly into the room so he wouldn’t disturb his sleep. The killer quotes “ I undid the lantern cautiously - oh, so cautiously - cautiously ( for the hinges creaked ) - I undid it just so much that a single ray fell upon the vulture eye’’ pg. 145. Then, it was the old man’s time! With a loud yell, I threw open the lantern and leaped into the room. In an instant the killer dragged him to the floor,
