Gandhi’s nonviolence approach had a positive impact on millions of Indians. Gandhi doesn’t claim that all three million Indians had embraced the law of nonviolence but he believes that no other message had been acknowledged to such notable extent. He believes that there should be the law of love
to fight against destruction. We should all approach our obstacles with love as the law of love has been proved to be more effective than that of the law of destruction. He further suggests that the power of nonviolence has greater significance than any other forces. Gandhi advises that everyone should work hard to implement the principles of nonviolence in their daily life.
I am compelled to believe in Gandhi’s principles because of the fact that Gandhi’s nonviolent movement led to India’s independence from the imperial British rule. While reading this excerpt, I felt that Gandhi’s principles of nonviolence should be implemented in every society. I am convinced by Gandhi’s guidance as I felt a sense of peace while reading his essay, “My Faith in Nonviolence”.
The excerpt “My Faith in Nonviolence”, by Mohandas K. Gandhi is an excellent piece of writing with a universal message to promote love and nonviolence. Gandhi proved that every objective can be achieved without any violence. Gandhi believed and held on with his principles of non-violence. He showed us a path towards peace. It is now up to us to decide to choose it or not. After reading Gandhi’s excerpt, I’ve chosen to follow his footsteps and abide to his principles of nonviolence to better serve humanity.
